Sprite particles facilitate the creation of diverse real-time visual effects; this technique, long embraced by the gaming industry, is now effortlessly achievable within Blender, all thanks to the integration of Geometry Nodes

Water splashes, bonfires, smoke and steam. If you wanted to add any of those elements using traditional methods, it would take you hours of baking a simulation, but since this method uses Flat cards with animated 2d textures it requires no simulations or long baking times, you just need to hit play, change the parameters and you will see the animation change instantly

The main element of the asset pack V2 is the GeoSpritesV2 MasterNode. This Modifier/Node made with GeometryNodes is what makes all of the assets in the asset pack possible

For simple effects like Flows of fire, water or smoke an object with the Master Node/Modifier will be enough

But using the Modifier as a node inside the GeometryNodes Editor will allow you to create more complex effects and systems

The new asset file structure simplifies the asset, no longer needing to configure 2 .blend files as AssetLibraries like past versions

The new version separates the Emitter in 2 parts; the Emitter Object, and the FX object. No longer needing a separate Empty object to control the Global Transformations of the effect


Limitations of the Version 2 Update:

-Must use Blender 4.0 or newer.

-Motion blur artifacts may show occasionally when rendering using “Center Of Frame Option” in EEVEE

(Issues can be solved by using First/Last frame options, or increasing Steps Value, see Troubleshooting section of the Guide for more)

Basic Version (Unlisted)

The Basic Geometry Nodes version was made before Simulation Nodes were widely used in Blender 3.6, since Simulation Nodes are more common now, this version was unlisted due to being outdated.

This version has been updated so if you only bought the $5 version before it was delisted in December 2024, you can download the update which remakes the asset with Simulation Nodes. 

This update only adds simulation nodes capabilities, a new file structure and some quality of life improvements but doesn’t have all the features or assets the $10.00 Simulation Nodes Emitter has.

If you bought the $10 Version or the $20 FX pack version you don't need to download this one.
