10 Rigged Shepherd & Herding Dogs
Bring realistic canine characters into your next project with this collection of 10 rigged, game-ready shepherd and herding dog 3D models. Created for game developers, 3D artists, and real-time content creators, the bundle combines recognizable working-dog silhouettes with detailed coat materials and flexible delivery formats.
The pack includes a German Shepherd, Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, Beauceron, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Australian Cattle Dog, Australian Kelpie, and two Pembroke Welsh Corgi variations. Together, these models offer different body proportions, ear shapes, tail silhouettes, and realistic coat patterns for a broad range of scenes.
Every dog is supplied in both static mesh and rigged versions, with separate BLEND and FBX files. Use the static models as detailed background animals or the rigged versions as a starting point for character posing, custom animations, and interactive projects.
High-quality PBR textures up to 4K and dedicated texture presets for Blender, Unity, and Unreal Engine support consistent materials across common 3D production workflows.
Each character comes with a static BLEND file containing packed textures, a static FBX export, a rigged BLEND project, and a rigged FBX export. This structure lets you select the model version that best fits your scene or production pipeline.
The collection contains 10 individual dog models representing 9 breeds: the two Pembroke Welsh Corgi entries are separate visual variations of the same breed, not different dog breeds.
Key Features
Complete Asset List — 10 Dog Models
The bundle covers a range of shepherd, cattle, and herding dogs, from tall athletic working breeds to compact Corgi silhouettes. The list follows the included asset numbering.
- German Shepherd — Athletic working dog with upright ears, a black saddle, and tan coat coloration.
- Belgian Malinois — Lean, alert shepherd with a short fawn coat and distinctive dark facial mask.
- Dutch Shepherd — Agile working breed with a brindle coat and characteristic upright ears.
- Beauceron — Strong, substantial French herding dog with black-and-tan markings and folded ears.
- Australian Shepherd — Medium-sized herding dog with a blue-merle pattern and a fuller coat.
- Border Collie — Recognizable black-and-white working dog with a feathered coat and bushy tail.
- Australian Cattle Dog — Compact, muscular herder with a mottled blue coat and upright ears.
- Welsh Corgi Pembroke — Variation 01 — Short-legged, tan-and-white Corgi with a compact body and short tail.
- Pembroke Welsh Corgi — Variation 02 — A second Corgi model with different proportions and a longer, fuller tail.
- Australian Kelpie — Agile, short-coated working dog with a black-and-tan pattern and pointed ears.
Rigged & Static Versions
Choose the static version for environments, still scenes, and efficient asset placement, or start from a rigged character when your project needs custom poses or animation work. The rigged editions provide an armature and skinned mesh rather than only an unbound static object.
For static scenes, environment population, reference layouts, and projects that do not need character deformation.
For posing and building custom animation workflows with a skeletal character. The supplied German Shepherd example includes body, limb, ear, and tail controls in Blender, including limb IK controls.
Rig details and available controls may vary by model. Pre-made locomotion clips (such as walk, run, or idle animations) are not part of the listed deliverables.
Rigged does not mean pre-animated. The rigged versions are intended for posing and creating your own animation clips; a ready-made animation library is not included in the described package.
Blender control rigs and engine skeletons are not identical. FBX can carry skeletal and skinning data, but Blender-specific IK controllers, widgets, and constraints may require different setup inside Unity or Unreal Engine.
Texture packing is specified for the static BLEND files. Rigged BLEND files and FBX imports may require assigning or relinking the supplied PBR textures for the intended appearance.
Technical Specifications
Included 3D Model Files
Each dog model is supplied in four file variants to support both non-animated scene building and character-rigging workflows.
A Blender project containing the static 3D model, its materials, and textures packed into the BLEND file.
An individual FBX mesh for use in compatible engines and 3D software. The supplied PBR texture resources can be assigned during material setup.
A Blender project with an armature and skinned dog mesh for posing and developing custom animation. Use the provided PBR resources if material textures need to be reconnected.
A skinned skeletal FBX export for integration into compatible 3D applications and game engines. Engine-specific rig setup and material assignments may still be required.
Textures & PBR Workflow
The dogs use a Physically Based Rendering (PBR) Metallic-Roughness workflow to reproduce their recognizable fur coloration and surface detail. The texture collection supports resolutions up to 4K, allowing you to choose an appropriate quality level for your target project.
Coat patterns include fawn and black masks, black-and-tan markings, brindle fur, blue-merle patches, mottled coats, and contrasting black-and-white or tan-and-white markings.
PBR texture resources for native Blender materials. Static BLEND versions also contain packed textures.
Texture presets supplied for configuring PBR materials in compatible Unity rendering workflows.
Texture presets for Unreal Engine material workflows using appropriate color, surface, and normal information.
Note: FBX is a geometry and animation exchange format, not a guarantee of identical shading between applications. Depending on the destination engine and version, texture slots and shaders may need manual configuration.
Recommended Uses
These realistic working-dog models can add character and believable animal variety to rural, modern, and interactive environments.
Add companion dogs to settlements, populate farm environments, stage working-dog scenes, or adapt the rigged characters to a custom animal animation pipeline. Gameplay behavior, AI systems, and animation clips must be created separately.
One Pack. 10 Working Dogs. Static & Rigged.
With 10 individually supplied dog models, static and rigged BLEND/FBX versions, up to 4K PBR textures, and Blender, Unity, and Unreal Engine texture presets, this bundle offers a flexible starting point for bringing realistic shepherd and herding dogs into game projects and 3D scenes.
AI-Assisted, Human-Refined
This collection was created through an AI-assisted, human-directed 3D production workflow. AI tools supported selected high-poly reference and retopology stages. The resulting assets underwent human-guided mesh inspection and refinement, UV and texture preparation, material setup, rigging, and production review. The models are provided as finished 3D assets rather than unprocessed AI outputs.
