Animated Dust Trail VDB Volume of a Speeding Car

This is an animated car dust trail in VDB format. The included VDB files form an animated sequence.

The product comes with both low and high quality VDB Sequences, 400 Frames Each for a total of 800 VDB Files.

The simulation of this ground dust and dirt trail was created using complex and time-consuming simulations.

You do not have to download the high quality to use the product; minimum download size to use this product is around 1.2 GB.

Product images don't show it, but the placeholder car is separate from the dust VDB. You can hide the car if you want or skip importing it completely.

-Technical Details

• Frame count: 400 Frames for each quality level (800 total)
• Framerate: 24 or 30 frames per second
• Low quality size: around 1.2 GB
• High quality size: Around 8 GB

Note: An ultra quality was planned and tested. The dust, however, looks funny when the VDB voxels are too detailed. For aesthetic reasons, some level of blur is needed.

Notable feature:

The VDB files comes with velocity attribute. What this means is that like all moving objects in your scene, the dust will naturally have motion blur.
