Description:

This is a 3d model of a cast-iron “pot-belly” stove.  It has a classic cylindrical design with four sturdy legs.  It features a front-loading door and adjustable vent and is appropriate for scene in a cabin, workshop or cozy living area.  Also included is a vintage well used copper tea kettle which as a curved spout and arched handle with wooden grip.This kettle could be used in any period kitchen or dining room scene, or it could be placed in a collector’s cabinet or on a stove as shown.  These models make use of PBR image, and procedural textures.  They render will in both Eevee and Cycles.

Usage:

The models are contained in a single .blend file with all textures/images/materials packed inside.  To use them, you can append them into your scene as follows:

• Go to the File Menu and pull down to Append

• Find the Pot_Belly_Stove_and_Kettle_BM.blend file and double click on it

• Double Click on the Collection icon

• Select the “Append_Pot_Belly_Stove”, and/or the “Append_Antique_Kettle” collection(s) and click Append

Note that the stove model components and the kettle model components are each parented to their own master Empty Item represented by large labeled axes.  You can move or rotate these Empty Items to adjust the location and orientation of the models.  The larger axis controls the stove.  (select one, and shift select the other to orient both models at once).

Technical:

The Antique Pot-Belly Stove and Tea Kettle were modeled in Blender 5.2 and the models utilize PBR and procedural shaders.  Materials work in both EEVEE and Cycles.  Subdivision and Bevel modifiers are used on some of the cmponents to smooth the rendered result.  These modifiers are not currently set to display in the 3D viewport, but will display when rendered.  They can be enabled in the viewport by clicking on the viewport icon in the modifier properties tab for those components.
