Meet BeltBuilder, the procedural conveyor system that does the heavy lifting so you don’t have to. Instead of hand-placing endless belts and fiddling with animations, just define your path and let the geometry nodes handle the rest. Whether you’re building a stylized factory, a sci-fi logistics line, or a strangely satisfying motion design loop, BeltBuilder keeps everything flowing smoothly. It creates complete conveyor assemblies with moving belts, plates, and rollers while staying flexible enough to match your scene’s style.
Curves, straight segments, and structural supports appear automatically, while optional decorations like lamps, signals, and barriers can be added individually. Need to tweak timing? Start, stop, or even reverse the animation whenever you want. Items travel from A to B, merge from multiple sources, and split intelligently at intersections thanks to a built-in pathfinding system. A viewport visualizer cycles through item groups so you can quickly preview variations without cluttering your scene.
Fully built conveyor model with moving belts, plates, and rollers
Animation controls: start, stop, or reverse at any time
Transports any items along the belt from A to B
Multiple item sources can merge into a single destination
Viewport visualizer cycles through item groups for quick overview
Planned Features:
Item Interaction: Currently items will not interact with each other. Im planning to create a system that stops the belt, if two items are about to collide.
Known Bugs:
Sometimes a belt mesh is spawned multiple times.
Only on straight paths: Belt wheels will rotate around wrong axis. -> Don't do absolute straight lines.
