Build modular environments that fit together cleanly when you scale them into a full street.
If you can model a building but your modular set collapses into mismatch chaos the moment you duplicate pieces, this workshop is built to fix that.

Timber-frame modular house example: clean joins, consistent proportions, and repeatable parts you can actually assemble into a street.
In Blender 5 & Unreal Engine 5.7: Stylized Haunted Street Modular Kit Workshop, you will build a proper modular kit in Blender 5, then prove it works by assembling and finishing a complete haunted street in Unreal Engine 5.7.

Two-instructor pipeline: Blender kit build for clean assembly, then Unreal lighting, fog, terrain, and a final establishing shot.
This is a pipeline workshop, not a “make one asset” class.
What you will finish with
By the end of this workshop you will have:
- A Blender-made stylized modular kit designed to fit together cleanly
- A finished Unreal Engine 5.7 haunted street scene with terrain, river, lighting, fog, and a final establishing shot ready for your portfolio

Master shot: the target look you will build toward, focused on mood, readability, and a believable night atmosphere.

Modular kit breakdown: the full parts library laid out so you can see exactly what is included and how it stays consistent.

System proof: the kit assembled into a clean layout, showing snap logic, repetition control, and consistent style.

Fog and atmosphere pass: volumetrics, ground mist, and silhouette protection for a readable haunted mood.

Variation pass: vertex paint grime and breakup so repeated pieces stop looking copy-pasted.
The 50/50 pipeline (two instructors, one workflow)
Neil – Blender 5: build the kit that actually behaves
- Modular design that stays compatible when you scale to a full street
- Consistent stylized proportions and shape language across the set
- Clean iteration habits (bevel control, reusable parts, controlled “wonk”)
- UVs and texel consistency so materials read as one world
- Export prep that prevents engine pain later (clean transforms, sensible pivots)

Blender viewport: modular building assembly with topology and structure that is designed to survive duplication.

Set dressing pass: props that sell story without exploding your workload or breaking the kit rules.
Luke – Unreal Engine 5.7: assemble the world and sell the mood
- Terrain shaping with Landmass
- River setup with the Water system
- Vertex painting for wear and variation without material chaos
- PCG for repeated dressing where it genuinely saves time
- Lumen lighting plus volumetrics and fog for readable atmosphere
- A clean establishing shot and camera move for final presentation

PCG path dressing: repeatable placement that stays art-directable, so the street reads clean without manual grind.

Haunted river setup: stylized water look tuned to sit inside the same night lighting and fog stack.

Landscape material tuning: roughness, noise, and surface breakup adjusted for believable wet sheen under Lumen.
Resource pack (included)
- Shaders and materials used in the project
- Human scale reference
- Two Geometry Nodes tools (stairs and stone walkway generator)
- Prebuilt jumpstart buildings for faster Unreal scene assembly
- Supporting resources used throughout the workflow

Student-ready delivery: organised Blender and Unreal folders so you can start building immediately.
Requirements
- Blender 5.x recommended (the workshop was built and recorded in Blender 5)
- Unreal Engine 5.7
- Comfortable with basic navigation in Blender and Unreal
Why this stands out
You will build a modular kit with intent, export it cleanly, and prove it works by finishing a complete Unreal scene with modern systems and atmosphere.
