  This addon adds a huge level of functionality to Blender's particle hair system, and makes working with hair much less of a chore, and it's a lot easier to get realistic results with it. It's also extremely flexible and versatile. While not an inexpensive addon, it's very worthwhile, as it can eliminate headaches and frustration over creating particle hair in Blender, which I've always found tedious and tiresome. It does takes some getting used to, of course, as with any complex addon, though.

  VFX Grace - I have a suggestion, though. How feasible would it be to create a control panel of some kind for 3D Hair Brush (or all the hair tools, even), as to separate the controls from the particle menu? It might be helpful, as the particle menu can get quite long to scroll through, for all the different settings, especially if you're using Hair Clump with 3D Brush.
  A separate properties tab for it might work, if that can be done, so you could have the settings for this addon open in one panel, and the main Particle Properties tab in another.

  Very few add-ons compare to the transformative nature of this one, and none do when it comes to hair. Completely overhauls the hair system while being just as (if not more-so) user friendly as vanilla Blender. I genuinely can't imagine using Blender without this add-on anymore.

  As of writing this review (1 month after purchase), the only mild criticism I have is that the documentation could be a bit clearer. The meaning can be slightly hard to follow, and could use some proofreading and more indepth explanation of various parameters - but compared to most BlenderMarket add-ons it's fairly well documented and almost everything can be quickly understood with hands on trial and error.

  While it's expensive, it is well worth the price. I recommend it to everyone who works with hair in Blender - there's bound to be at LEAST one feature that revolutionizes how you work.

  The developer was very helpful in solving a configuration issue that prevented me from installing the tool on a MacBook Pro M1 max. It did take several iterations before all issues were solved, proving the willingness of this developer to support their product. Everything is now working great. This add on enhances Blender's existing toolset (exposing new parameters) and adds several new brushes to provide a comprehensive hair creation workflow. I would like to see all of the tools offered by VFX Grace with Mac support. Well worth the purchase!

  The hair looks good, it's a high quality plugin.

  I'd love to see the library ported to the new geometry nodes hair system, and make more tutorials. The reason why I was looking forward to getting this plugin was because I wanted to check how the library presets were made and study them.

  Unfortunately the library seems to use the old deprecated plugin hair system which is particles based. You can load the presets and edit via the native particle system menus in blender, but they are not compatible with the latest version of the plugin meaning you can't edit the hair via plugin, or even learn how to recreate them using the plugin, so it's like getting a great plugin with no "useful" presets. Quite weird but I'm sure the developer is working on porting the library.

  hair looks good, the 3d brush is a much needed improvement to the particle edit alone, the performance increase is real nice allowing one to make good looking fur outside of the particle editor. tho customer support is lacking. if ye have a question, dont bother contacting the creator. havent recieved even an inkling of a response after months of waitn. product itself: 5 stars, customer support: 0 stars.

  Thank you for creating this Blender hair brush add-on. I appreciate the effort and the tutorial videos.

  After testing it in Blender 5.2, I found that some features did not work as expected, and the workflow felt more limited than shown in the promotional videos. I also experienced compatibility issues, which made it difficult to use in my production pipeline.

  I hope you will update the add-on for Blender 5.2 and improve compatibility, stability, and documentation. I believe this tool has great potential, and I look forward to future updates.

  Primarily being a game developer in Unreal Engine, this plugin seemed very attractive to me at first to be able to use some of the built in presets, and start making a few of my own later on...However, I cannot get this plugin to work for my personal use. The tool seems powerful specific to blender and actual hair creation, and I've gotten the conversion to hair cards down... But, this plugin is unusable to me personally due to the texture output when you apply the hair card convert. If you combine textures into one, the width of all the textures are never equivalent to the height to make it an even square texture, or even a power of two. In other words I need 4096 x 4096 or 2048 x 2048, but on a dozen or so attempts trying many different variables and tweaking, you always get something like 3871 x 4096 or 1895 x 2048 or 4742 x 4096 etc...

  I did reach out to the creator as well and did not get a response, so at the moment this plugin gets 1 star and I cannot recommend it for anyone working in a game engine. I would be more than happy to adjust my review if this issue gets resolved.

  I would not recommend it, I bought it because of its transformation into cards, but the result is totally random and far from the original hair, the tools they offer to edit are uncomfortable, and inefficient, it does not look anything like what appears in the promotional videos , I tried to communicate with a response without positive result, and at the time of writing this, the documentation only has a broken link. I'm going to ask for a refund, I hope I can get my money back.
