Blender Skill Cards – Documentation

1. Introduction

Blender Skill Cards are a set of 50 digital learning cards designed to help artists and beginners structure their Blender learning journey. Each card focuses on a specific tool, feature, or creative challenge, presented in a simple and actionable way.

The project was created to:

  • Make Blender learning fun and interactive.

  • Provide bite-sized exercises instead of long tutorials.

  • Help learners track progress and revisit concepts easily.

  • Eventually expand into physical flashcards for offline learning.

2. What’s Included

  • 50 digital cards (PDF/PNG format).

  • Each card contains:

    • A title (skill or tool name).

    • A description of the concept.

    • A short exercise or challenge.

    • (Optional) References to other cards for cross-learning.

3. How to Use the Cards

  1. Pick a Card – Choose one randomly or select a card that matches the skill you want to improve.

  2. Read & Apply – Follow the instructions or tips given on the card inside Blender.

  3. Practice – Complete the mini-challenge to reinforce the concept.

  4. Connect – Some cards reference others (e.g., Card 43 links to Card 44). This helps combine multiple skills into bigger projects.

  5. Track Progress – Mark cards you’ve completed or mastered.

4. Future Plans

  • Release a printed version of the cards.

  • Expand with new packs (e.g., advanced modeling, shading, animation).

  • 1000 Cards!

  • Create a community challenge system where artists share their results.

25% of the profits go to the Blender Fund!
That’s why 25% of every purchase ($0.39 USD) from Blender Skill Cards goes directly to the Blender Fund, supporting the ongoing development of Blender.

I’m aware of the challenging financial situation Blender is facing, so I’ve decided to give back to the community.
