Bulky Symbiote Monster Rigged Character
Documentation
Formats
The package includes:
- BLEND
- FBX
- OBJ + MTL
- GLB / glTF
No other formats are provided. This includes no USD, DAE, STL, or other formats not listed above.
Materials
The OBJ and GLB exports contain 4 materials assigned to visible mesh faces:
bodyteethupper_teeth-
tongue(tong)
A fifth material named ST_Outline is defined in the MTL file, but it is not assigned to any exported face.
Its intended purpose, such as an outline or toon-style effect, could not be confirmed from the export alone.
Each of the 4 assigned materials has matching:
- Base Color
- Normal — OpenGL format
The texture maps are:
- PNG format
- 2048 × 2048 pixels
- Supplied separately in
textures.zip
Rig
An Auto-Rig Pro (ARP) control armature is included.
The character also has a dedicated facial rig with jaw and lip controls. This was confirmed through driver expressions referencing jaw and lip bones in the .blend file.
For the full interactive control-shape rig in Blender, installing the Auto-Rig Pro add-on is recommended.
The following can still be viewed and posed without the add-on:
- Mesh
- Materials
- Stored animation actions
However, the full interactive control-shape functionality may require Auto-Rig Pro.
Bones
The GLB export contains 751 joints in the exported bone hierarchy.
This is the full ARP control rig, not a deform-only bone count.
The hierarchy includes:
- Body control bones
- Finger bones
- Twist bones
- Facial control bones
- Deform bones
The bone naming follows the Auto-Rig Pro convention.
Examples include:
c_jawbone.xc_lips_smile.lc_lips_smile.r
An exact deform-only bone count was not separately verified.
Animation
The GLB export contains 27 stored actions.
Facial Expression Poses — 8
AngryConcernedconfidentconfused BfearHappyseriousshock
These are stored facial expression poses.
Mouth / Viseme Poses — 9
AhAiEeFvMMBPOoRSs
These provide mouth and viseme shapes for lip-sync workflows.
Hand Poses — 6
hand 1hand 2hand 3hand 4hand 5hand 6
Base Rest Poses — 2
tposevenom tpose
Rig Utility Actions — 2
rigrig.001
These are most likely Auto-Rig Pro IK/FK helper actions based on their naming and role, but their exact internal purpose was not independently confirmed.
Shape Keys / Blendshapes
No shape keys or blendshape channels were found in the supplied files.
Facial expressions and mouth/viseme poses are driven by the bone rig rather than traditional mesh blendshapes.
As a result, the character does not use blendshape sliders for the supplied facial expressions.
UV
The OBJ export contains:
- 6,635 UV coordinates
- 1 UV channel
Whether additional UV sets exist inside the source .blend file was not verified.
Import Workflow
Blender
Open:
bulky venom.blend
The file should be opened directly in Blender 4.2 or newer.
For the full interactive Auto-Rig Pro control system, install and enable the Auto-Rig Pro add-on.
Other Software or Game Engines
Import the required:
- FBX
- OBJ
- GLB
After importing, manually reassign the Base Color and Normal maps from textures.zip when required.
The supplied source information indicates that the textures are not embedded in the FBX or OBJ.
The GLB references the same external image names internally.
Always check:
- Scale
- Orientation
after import because these were not independently verified for this listing.
Customization
The four main materials can be recolored or edited:
bodyteethupper_teethtongue
The supplied Base Color maps can be used as a starting point for texture editing.
The character can also be posed using the Auto-Rig Pro control rig.
The 27 stored actions can be used as a starting point for:
- New animations
- Custom poses
- Blended animation
- Hand-keyed poses
Because the mesh contains no shape keys, expression changes beyond the supplied stored poses require:
- Rig-based posing
- Manual mesh editing
rather than blendshape sliders.
Troubleshooting
Missing Textures
If textures are missing after importing the FBX, OBJ or GLB into another application:
- Extract
textures.zip. - Locate the Base Color and Normal maps.
- Open the corresponding material.
- Relink the maps using the material names as a guide.
Use:
bodyteethupper_teethtong
as the main material references.
Rig Controls Are Not Displaying
If the Auto-Rig Pro control shapes do not appear correctly in Blender:
- Confirm that Auto-Rig Pro is installed.
- Confirm that the add-on is enabled.
- Reopen the Blender file if necessary.
- Check the character rig again.
The mesh and stored animation actions can still be accessed without the add-on, but the interactive control widgets may not be displayed.
