  It's a really good addon but as I thought, it doesn't work with eevee. Only cycles (at least in my experience)

  Thanks for the feedback! Just wanted to let you know that Decal Master does work with both Cycles and Eevee, so it's fully compatible with both render engines. If you're having any issues with Eevee, feel free to reach out, and I’d be happy to help troubleshoot!

  I am working as a product designer and switched from keyshot to blender. Blender is powerful, but when it comes to decals - its really complicated. This is why i bought the decal master add on to ease my workflow with blender. The Add on is really good and powerful and does his job. So i can fully recommend. But on bended surfaces or in between a halo, the application is sometimes not even possible. So i like the add on but regarding the application and placement of the decals, its not reaching keyshot.

  The tool looks great in the video and conceptually. In practice, it's not very convenient
  1. Only Cycles render, no option to switch to Texture mode or Eevee - everything is locked. Cycles consumes too many resources for something as simple as decals. It becomes impossible to work on a 4k monitor
  2. Everything is tied to camera rotation; there is no option to move decals like with the Move tool
  3. There is no option to select and edit already created decals
  4. There is no decal mode like the classic decal with copying of the original geometry
  5. When exiting edit mode, it always switches to Viewpoint Solid Mode, not the one that was before opening
  6. There is no convenient selection of decals from the list or Asset Browser - implemented via a file viewer on a computer

  Decal-Master crashes my Computer now using Blender 5.1 decal opens ok, but when I click the space bar to project decal, then escape, it freezes blender, the the PC shuts down using the latest Decal Master 2,0.7

  This is inconvenient for tenkeyless users.
  Since only the default numpad shortcut works when switching screens in Projecting mode, I believe improvements are needed for tenkeyless users.

  I’ve already implemented a custom shortcut feature in the next update, so users will be able to set their own shortcuts. However, normal navigation is tied to Blender’s default shortcuts, which use the numpad. You can enable **Emulate Numpad** in Blender’s settings — it works well for laptops and tenkeyless keyboards.

  Hey, thanks for the feedback. I’m back on track with a major update that was delayed. A small update will come first to fix crashes and add Blender 4.5 support, followed by a big one that’ll be worth the wait.

  It doesn't work for me, it takes 100 percent CPU power, and no possibility to use UI - total freeze.

  Could you please try using Blender’s default keymap? Sometimes custom keymaps can cause issues with the addon. The addon itself isn’t actually frozen, it’s just that navigation may not work properly due to keymap conflicts.

  naah!!! It keeps on crashing, no matter what I try, and it seems that the creator doesn't even care, despite people raising concerns and paying hard-earned money. I'm ready to take my comments back as soon as they give an update on the situation. My advice would be to spend 30 bucks more and better buy Decal-machine.

  I ran into a problem where Decal Master repeatedly crashed Blender. I found that the "Import Decal" button caused Blender to crash if I hovered over it (button is in the menu that appears after hitting 'f' to import a decal). I handed the creator all the information I had to recreate the bug including additional information they asked for and I've gotten no response after waiting for weeks. I've replicated this bug on multiple PCs and know it's not specific to my computer, which indicates a worrying problem. But I'm afraid the communication and customer service I've received have been subpar. I'll be happy to remove this review if the bug gets fixed.
