DEPTH FORM - Image Shape Model Generation

Modeling shapes from images can take a lot of time and effort, especially when preparing them for normal baking. DepthForm Addon simplifies the process, letting you turn images into models faster and more easily with minimal effort.

Model your image shapes faster and more accurately. That’s the experience DepthForm Addon gives you.

+ Choose the folder where your images are located, then select the image containing the shape you want. If your image doesn’t appear in the collection, simply click Refresh.

+ Then choose the operation you prefer: Depth or Form. Use Depth for baking purposes, or use Form to turn your image shape into a mesh.

✓ When using Depth, after setting up your image shape, the first step is to adjust the scale and rotation.



✓ Choose the effect you prefer: Extrude or Push In. To make the shape more interesting, you can also adjust the tilt.





✓ Then, adjust the edges you want to bevel by scrolling your middle mouse wheel.



✓ After that, adjust the bevel settings to give it a polished look. Your depth model is now ready for baking. 

FORM

✓ Now for Form, choose the image shape you prefer, then adjust the scale and rotation.




✓ Extrude it and tilt to your desired height. In Form mode, only the extrude feature is available.



✓ Next, choose the final result you prefer: Open, Solid, or Mirror.

✓ Then, easily adjust the edges you want to bevel by scrolling your middle mouse wheel.




✓ After that, adjust the bevel settings to give it a polished look. Your Form model is now ready to use.
