Drive Them All – Colors

phaze974 in Interface

Is there a button to reset everything?
Yes. In the More Features panel, click Reset All to delete all Teams, Controls, Colors, and their drivers/keyframes. ℹ️ If you change your mind, try Undo (Ctrl+Z) right after using Reset All to restore everything.
Where are the addon properties stored in Blender?
All values are stored at the scene level (bpy.context.scene) once they are driven or keyframed. This makes them visible in the Graph Editor, even with no object selected. If a property is not driven, its value will only be visible and editable in the DriveDex (N-panel).
Does the addon work with nodes, the Compositor, etc.?
Yes! The addon works in: 3D Viewport Shader Editor Compositor Geometry Nodes Whole Blender UI If the property is drivable, then yes — you can catch it and drive it!
My driver doesn’t show up in the Graph Editor — what now?
That can happen if no keyframes exist or if the property wasn’t linked correctly. Check the following: Is the property actually drivable? Did you click Apply Driver? Try reapplying the driver a second time. Check if drivers are hidden in the Graph Editor: Go to More Features > Animation > Scene Keys, or try View > Show Hidden.
Can I rename elements?
Yes! You can rename any Team, Control, or Color using the ✏️ icon. You can also assign a custom badge color to each Team for easier identification.
What’s the difference between “Remove Driver” and “Remove Color”?
Remove Driver: only deletes the driver/keyframe links, the Color remains. ⚠️ This action removes all drivers linked to that source. If it was a mistake, use Undo (Ctrl+Z) to restore them. Note: In this v1.0, it's not yet possible to remove a single driver from a group. If you only need to remove the last one, just Undo. Remove Color: deletes the element and all its linked drivers and keyframes. Remove Team: deletes the entire group, including all Controls, Colors, and their drivers.
Can one Color drive multiple properties?
Yes! You can apply multiple drivers from a single Control or Color to different properties. All targets will follow the same source value.
The DTA-Colors panel is empty

You need to create a Team first. Once the Team is created, you’ll be able to add Colors inside it. If the panel is completely blank, try uninstalling the addon, restarting Blender, and reinstalling it. Still not working? Please report it on the Issues Page

I installed the addon but nothing shows up. What should I do?
Make sure the addon is enabled in Edit > Preferences > Add-ons. Depending on your version of Blender: On Blender 3.6+: use the classic Install... button On Blender 4.0+: click the dropdown arrow ➡️ and choose Install from Disk... Once installed, the DTA CC tab will appear in the Sidebar (N) in all compatible editors.
