How many render layers are there?
There are two render layers. One is of the planets, and the other is the atmosphere. The two layers are combined in the compositor to create the final render. The planets and there atmospheres are rigged to emptys, so if you animate the planet with there emptys, the atmosphere will move along with the planets.
