Easy Damped Track — Lightweight Hair & Chain Jiggle, No Physics Sim Required

Easy Damped Track is a rigging add-on that automatically adds and manages Damped Track constraints across a bone chain, giving hair strands, tails, antennae, jewelry, and other secondary elements natural-looking jiggle motion — without baking a single physics simulation.

Instead of manually adding a Damped Track constraint to every bone and pointing it at the right child, this add-on does it in one click, based on your current bone hierarchy. Change the rig later? Just run it again — it cleans up its own old constraints first, so it's always safe to re-run.

Key Features

• Auto Add Damped Track — select any bone chain in Pose Mode and instantly add Damped Track constraints, each one automatically pointed at its own child bone.
• Reset Damped Track — clears every constraint this add-on has added, snaps the affected bones back to rest pose, and re-adds fresh constraints in one click. Great for fixing a pose that's drifted out of place.
• Delete All Damped Track — fully removes every managed constraint from the armature with nothing re-added, so you can render, bake, or hand off the rig clean.
• Live Influence Slider — drag once and every constraint the add-on has added updates in real time, no need to re-run anything.
• Adjustable Track Axis — works with both Connected and disconnected bone chains.
• Smart & Safe — the Reset and Delete All buttons automatically gray out when there's nothing to act on, and the add-on only ever touches constraints it created itself, never anything you added by hand.
• Adjustable Progress Feedback — a small settings popup lets you tune how fast the progress bar animates, from 1 (slow) to 10 (fast).

How It Works

1. Select the bone chain you want to jiggle, in Pose Mode.
2. Click Auto Add Damped Track.
3. Dial in the Track Axis and Influence to taste — the influence slider updates live.
4. Changed the hierarchy or the pose got out of hand? Hit Reset. Done for good? Hit Delete All.
