📄 Fast Preview Render — Documentation

🔹 What is Fast Preview Render?

Fast Preview Render is a Blender add-on that allows you to render your animation directly from the viewport into a playable .mp4 video — instantly and effortlessly.
It's the fastest way to preview your animations without needing to configure complex output settings or overwrite your previous renders.

• One-click rendering of your viewport animation as .mp4

• Automatic filename incrementing (no more overwritten files!)

• Auto-play the render when finished (optional)

• Supports resolution scaling: 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%

• Open output folder directly from the panel

🛠️ Installation

1. In Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons

2. Click Install and choose the file:
   fast_preview_render_v9.zip

3. Enable the checkbox next to Fast Preview Render

4. Access the tool in the 3D Viewport > Sidebar (N Panel) > Render tab

🎬 How to Use

1. Choose your output folder and file name
   Example: C:\Users\You\Videos\preview

2. Select your render resolution (25% – 100%)

3. Optionally:

   • Enable "Play After Render" to open the video after rendering

   • Enable "Increment Filename" to avoid overwriting previous renders

4. Click "Render Viewport Animation"
   Sit back and let Blender handle the rest!

📁 Output Format

All videos are exported as:

• .mp4 format

• H.264 codec

• Container: MPEG-4

• Frame range: Based on your current timeline settings

🔎 Troubleshooting

• No video appears?
  → Make sure your Output Path points to a valid folder
  → Try disabling antivirus or permission blockers for that folder.

• Still image instead of animation?
  → Ensure you're rendering an animation, not a single frame
  → Use the Render Viewport Animation button only.
