  I've using this addon for some time now and it's great! I modified it so that I can use the “Wighgt Map” to get different distances between rivet instances within one object so that I don't have to have 50 different objects with different distances. In addition, in combination with the data transfer modifier with UV map copying, I can easily paint an object without adding any work to unvorp objects. I also recommend setting up an object that turns “dada transfer” copying on and off, because with more rivets Blender can slow down a lot when editing mesh objects with rivets.

  This addon is a must for every kind of mechanical structure! Rivets, bolts, screws, everything can be done easily and accurately. No need for converting lines to curves, simply duplicate and separate the edges you want the bolts to be positioned, and select the surface they have to align to, set the spacing and scale and... voilà, you have a perfectly aligned and tidy rows of bolts or rivets or whatever. Perfect for modelling airplanes, helicopters, tanks, and metallic structures. Brilliant geometry nodes engineering, saves a lot of time and improves final result.

  Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. Could you elaborate on what you mean by vertex work only? Create an instance for every vertex of your guide edge?

  Another person recommended this addon for speeding up bolt creation, and WOW! How the bolts snap onto the mesh seamlessly with very little effort, It's an instant must-have for me.
