Does this modifier replace Grease Pencil Texture Brushes?
No, I don't think so. Both have their use cases.
This does make creating vector art brushes a lot easier and faster.
And this helps you to actually realize the stroke and continue modifying with Edit mode / Sculpt Mode / Lattices etc.
Also animating is easy through keyframes & modifiers.
Can I create custom fills?
Sadly not at this point, hopefully in the future.
Only strokes work right now.
