  The thing this addon does that other similar tools don't, is that this generates simulations that actually move like hair! With other solutions, the sims can feel all "swimmy", or too heavy. With Hairflow, they just look very natural and I find you only really need to move the stiffness slider to get the look you want. SO EASY. It's also very fast to get working. Just make sure you go into the addon prefs and point it to the supplemental blend file. ;-)

  Ever since the Blender developers introduced GeoHair, I’ve been excited to see something like this! It’s an incredible Node-Setup: functional, efficient and incredibly user-friendly. The latest update takes it even further, adding more convenient features and quality-of-life improvements. I would absolutely love to see this become a standard Blender asset in a future release—it’s such a game-changer!

  Works really good! If you could further decrease the baking file size it would be very nice. Directly simulating the geo hair instead of complicated conversions or doing it in other programs makes everything so much easier.. thanks!

  Thanks for the rating! Yes, Blender currently doesn’t support compressed baking files for geometry-nodes-based simulations, but it will probably be added soon in one of the next Blender versions. Lowering the hair resolution a bit can help a lot :)

  I'm impressed.. i was literally searching for two years for something like this.. Have never understood why Blender didn’t provide a simple solution to simulate the new hair system. Thank you, truly! Also, the fact that you explain everything clearly in your tutorial, most creators I know just throw out the file and a one-minute demo video where almost nothing is explained. If it’s possible to further improve object collision with long hair, then I’m in heaven :)

  Many thanks! Yes I hope we can further improve this in the future. For now, you can play a bit with the collision reactivity, maybe that helps :)
