  HDRI Maker: Production-Ready Lighting for ACEScg & Blender 5.x Pipelines.

  HDRI Maker has become a core part of my VFX lighting workflow, especially now with Blender 5.0’s native ACES 2.0 implementation.
  I primarily work in an ACEScg, EXR-based pipeline between DaVinci Resolve and Blender, integrating minimal but physically accurate CGI elements (vehicles, debris, fire, fluids) into live-action footage. HDRI Maker handles this use case extremely well once the environment is configured correctly.

  What stands out most is that HDRI Maker is built entirely on standard Blender nodes, with no closed or opaque systems. This makes it predictable, debuggable, and fully compatible with high-end color-managed workflows. Using ACEScg as the working space (including file output overrides), HDRI Maker correctly interprets linear EXR sequences and produces physically coherent lighting and reflections.

  With Blender 5.0 + ACES 2.0, the results are a noticeable step up compared to earlier versions:

  • More resolved and stable specular reflections

  • Accurate self-reflection on complex geometry

  • Better preservation of subtle light interactions

  • Consistent behavior across CGI elements sharing the same scene-referred space

  Importantly, HDRI Maker adapts cleanly to ACEScg without requiring hacks or manual node rewiring, provided the library paths are set correctly and the color space options are configured intentionally.

  Any issues I initially encountered were not limitations of the addon itself, but legacy setup assumptions carried over from older Blender versions. After a clean setup, HDRI Maker behaved exactly as expected.

  This addon is clearly designed with real production feedback in mind, and it scales well from simple HDR lighting to advanced ACES-managed VFX workflows. Highly recommended for artists who care about physically correct lighting, color fidelity, and long-term pipeline stability.

  Best Addon by far. I use my own HDRI maps. But the 16K pack is just amazing. When can we get support for 4.5?

  I’ve tried many tools, and this one is by far the best — hands down.
  Not only does it give you full control over HDRI lighting, but it also includes an advanced studio lighting system that saves you tons of manual setup time.
  On top of that, the developer is incredibly responsive and quick to answer messages and questions.
  I highly recommend purchasing this add-on!

  I was looking for a plugin that offers very good quality HDRIs for Blender. I came across this plugin after several reviews that I could find on the net.

  After a rather chaotic installation (before reading the documentation, my fault - which by the way is of very good quality), everything works well and even if I have not yet exploited everything that this plugin offers, I do not regret my purchase, at least for the moment.

  The only negative point is that it takes up space on the disk, but it is worth it, given the quality of the HDRIs.

  HDRI Maker feels like having an Insta360 One5. Although I recently sold my One2 due to health reasons, HDRI Maker has become an incredible alternative. It’s a gem of a tool, perfect for capturing modeled plazas and exploring other options that are incredibly useful in my workflow.

  Moreover, the support team truly cares about users, providing clear and detailed documentation that greatly streamlines the workflow. Without a doubt, HDRI Maker is an indispensable addon for any 3D artist. Highly recommended!

  "HDRi Maker" is just The Greatest Addon, to Create Your Envirement / World from any HDRi!!!

  You can Select a HDRi from the Integrated Huge Library; or Click to import Your Own HDRi; and Create a Modular World via Different Dome Shapes; in which You can Control every Aspect of them, starting from the Shape/Boundries/Dimentions; up to Color; Shadows... ; and Design your Own Envirement; According to Your Crative Vision!!!

  The Greatest Part is, that you can even Edit the "Ground"; so you can easily Add / Extrude the Rocks; Mountins; Structures of Buildings, or Roads.. it is Really Fun to work with it; and it gives You Extreme Realisitc Results!!!

  And I suggest You Use the Gigantic Library of "Extreme PBR Nexus" from the Same Creator; to Blend in, these generated Ground-Elements; and add That Realistic Touch to Your World / Envirement; with Texture Painting / Mixing / Masking / Adding FXs...!!!

  And "Yes!", like the Name of the Addon suggests "HDRi Maker"; You can even Create Your Own HDRi from Your Scenes; with Ease!!! :)

  I can't Recommand this Addon Enough; it has been a Game Changer for me personally; wich gave me a lot of Creative Freedom and a Lot of Inspiration!!!

  This is my first purchased Addon after switching to blender from C4d, with a simple comparision with other product from older Software, this Addon worth 10 stars not 5, Amazing Addon, Extremely recomended.
