Hover HUD Documentation

Overview

Hover HUD is a context-aware viewport interface designed to streamline Blender's Edit Mode workflow.

The addon automatically detects the mesh element under the cursor and displays a futuristic HUD containing relevant modeling tools. Instead of navigating menus, pie menus, or searching through shortcuts, artists can work directly from the viewport using an intuitive hover-based system.

Hover HUD supports vertices, edges, and faces, with each element providing its own set of context-sensitive operations.

Installation

  1. Download the ZIP package.
  2. Open Blender.
  3. Navigate to:
Edit > Preferences > Add-ons
  1. Click Install.
  2. Select the downloaded ZIP file.
  3. Enable Hover HUD.

The addon will start automatically when entering Edit Mode.

Getting Started

  1. Select a mesh object.
  2. Enter Edit Mode.
  3. Hover over a vertex, edge, or face.
  4. After the configured hover delay, the HUD will appear.
  5. Click a tool or press keys 1-8 to execute actions immediately.
