Hello.
It has been a very long time since I last built a fictional ship.
I was actually in the middle of building the IAI Lavi, Israel's 4.5-generation fighter jet, but hit a roadblock. Worried that I might get burnt out on 3D modeling, I decided to take a break from the Lavi and plan something new—which resulted in this fictional Republic of Korea Navy battleship, the ROKS Eulji Mundeok.
The original plan was to make a "Super KDDX" because I reused the integrated mast directly from my previous KDDX (HDD-9000) 3D model. However, using "Super KDDX" as the ship's name felt too cliché and unfitting, so I decided to name it after General Eulji Mundeok, a historic Korean commander.
The build took only three days. While it might seem like it was completed remarkably fast for a large battleship, that is actually true. The process simply involved modeling the stealth hull and then mounting weapon systems I had already completed in the past.
