Light Skipper - Team Red
What's Included?
Within the .zip folder is a "Model Export" folder, a "Save" folder, and a "Textures & Decals" folder, along with a detailed guide/ documentation of the model.
The "Model Export" Folder contains 4 more folders. 2 of them are for the ship (One in flight mode, the other in landed mode) and the other 2 are for the pilot model (One in a T-pose, the other in a sitting position in the cockpit). And for each of these models, I have exported them as OBJ, FBX, and GLB files, with 2K textures applied. (There are 4K textures included as well)
The "Save" folder contains the .blend file.
The "Textures & Decals" folder contains a folder for all of the custom decal images, made using Affinity. I have included a stencil image should you wish to create your own custom decal images. Within the Textures folder, I have included 2K and 4K texture options. and for each resolution, I have included a "diffuse" image with and without the decals applied.
The .blend File
The model has been split up into multiple collections. Upon opening the file, you should see the Light Skipper space ship, along with the sitting version of the pilot model inside the cockpit. If some parts are missing or nothing is showing then some collections might need to be enabled.
The Light Skipper model is fully rigged, with the rigged components all being controlled via moving the "sphere empties". These empties control animations made using the action editor, and the armatures for these animations are stored in collections labelled *HIDE*. This is because the armatures can be hidden to have a cleaner looking model, without affecting the rigged components.
The collections and object names should be self explanatory, with some parts being abbreviated. For example, "Light Skipper Team Red" would be shortened to "LSRed_" and "Pilot Team Red" would be shortened to "PRed_". There are full break downs and explanations for the collections within the documentation/ guide included in the .zip file.
The pilot models use a custom IK-FK rig, and there are 2 versions included. One is at the world origin in a T-Pose, whilst the other is located sitting in the cockpit.
There are a few other collections with premade models set up for exporting (the collections are called "Model Export"). These models were used to export the various model file types in the .zip folder, but are ready to be exported to any file type.
Full details specific to each version of the model can be found in the included guides. If you have any questions, please email me at [email protected]
