The panel is in edit mode for a grid line connected as a profile

Single object deformation

Allows you to use the deformation functions separately without connecting the addon completely. When you connect an object that has an object deform to the Link Curve panel, the object deform controls will be duplicated in the Segment Deform

Deform limit control

Be in mesh edit mode when using segment deform or object deform
