Lomo-X | Photoreal Film Emulation
Lomo-X Controls Overview
Lomo-X is designed to give you a complete analogue camera workflow inside Blender. The addon panel gives you direct control over exposure, depth of field, film grain, camera looks, and render resolution.
Camera Settings
Exposure
Controls the overall brightness of the camera image. Use this to adjust the amount of light reaching the final image while maintaining the selected Lomo-X look.
F-Stop
Controls the camera aperture value. Lower f-stop values create a shallower depth of field, while higher values keep more of the image in focus.
Focus Distance
Controls the distance at which the camera is focused. Adjust this alongside the f-stop value to achieve the desired depth of field effect.
Grain Amount
Controls the intensity of the analogue film grain effect. Increase this for a stronger vintage film appearance or reduce it for a cleaner photographic look.
Animate Grain
Enables moving film grain for animation workflows. When enabled, the grain changes over time to avoid a static texture and create a more realistic analogue film effect for videos.
Lomo-X Film Looks
Lomo-X includes six handcrafted film recipes, each designed to create a unique photographic character.
Ember
Warm highlights with neutral tones for a natural, nostalgic film appearance.
Glacier
Cooler tones with medium contrast for a clean, atmospheric look.
Subway
A cinematic orange and teal grade with balanced contrast.
Tropics
High contrast with rich green tones for vibrant outdoor imagery.
Scarlet
A dramatic high-contrast look with bold fiery red hues.
Lavender
Soft lavender tones with medium contrast for a dreamlike photographic style.
Clear Look
Removes the current Lomo-X colour treatment and returns the compositor to a neutral state.
Use this when you want to switch between looks or return to the original Blender image.
Resolution Presets
Lomo-X includes three quick resolution presets in film standard 3:2, for different workflows.
Low
Ideal for lower end hardware, roughly equivalent to 720p.
Medium
A balanced resolution for most machines, roughly equivalent to 1080p.
High
High resolution for higher end hardware, roughly equivalent to 4k.
