MatSelector is a Simple Blender Addon created to save time for Blender users. With MatSelector, you can easily select all objects in your scene that share similar materials and change them to a specific material with just a click of a button.

Need to select all the objects in the scene that has the same material to another material?
Have multiple-storey buildings and you need to change the windows material? The walls needs to be stone instead of plaster?
Need to click the object of similar material one by one? and tired of the frustration of misclicking them?

MatSelector comes with an user-friendly addon panel that does the work for you saves your time

One of the functions that i found missing in blender is the ability of selecting similar things all at once. When you're importing your fully textured scene from another software into blender, you'll find them sometimes not grouped and find it tedious to select those items one at a time, with this addon you can just click the items and move them into a collection or use them for key framing/ animation, etc.... go wild with what you can do with this simple function.

FEATURES

SELECT SIMILAR OBJECT - Just select the object with the target material assigned and hit "Select Similar" and it will select all the object that has the similar materials

CHANGE MATERIALS - That glass window doesn't seem right? and there's hundreds of them scattered around your scene? just select one glass and hit select similar and you can change all their materials with your choice of material
