CartoonCat3D Animation Pack – Documentation

Overview

CartoonCat3D is a collection of stylized 3D cat characters featuring multiple body styles, customizable textures, skeletal rigs, and animations for both bipedal and quadrupedal poses.

Requirements

• Recommended Blender version: 4.5.2 LTS

• Basic knowledge of Blender is recommended.

Getting Started

1. Download and extract the ZIP package.

2. Open the included Blender project file, if provided, or import the FBX files using File > Import > FBX.

3. Select the cat character and its armature.

4. Open the Dope Sheet and switch to the Action Editor to inspect available animation actions.

5. Select the desired animation and play it using the Timeline.

Character Customization

The package includes:

• 7 body styles

• 8 fur texture variations

• 16 facial textures

• Separate character mesh parts

You can customize your character by modifying materials, textures, and compatible mesh components.

Rig & Animations

• Generic skeletal rig with 90 weighted bones

• 51 cat animation clips in the RigOnly export set

• 44 cat animation clips in the RigAndMesh export set

• 1 additional tuna animation in the RigOnly set

The rig is a custom skeletal structure, not a Unity Humanoid rig.

Animation availability and import behavior may vary depending on the selected file.

Technical Information

• Approximately 4,072–4,498 vertices per individual body style

• Approximately 5,732–6,176 triangles per individual body style

• Fur textures: 512 × 512

• Face textures: 256 × 256

• Character normal map: 1024 × 1024

Important Notes

FBX imports may require material adjustments or animation action organization depending on your Blender project.

Please review the included files and animation exports before modifying the original character rig.
