Mirror Helper Addon Documentation
Overview
Mirror Helper is a Blender addon designed to simplify and speed up symmetrical selection in Edit Mode. It helps you select vertices and faces mirrored across the X, Y, or Z axis, saving you time when working on symmetrical models.
Installation

Download the addon
.zipfile. -
In Blender, go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.

Click Install…, select the
.zipfile, and click Install Add-on. -
Enable the addon by checking the box next to Mirror Helper.

The addon panel will appear in the 3D Viewport Sidebar (N) under the Mirror Helper tab.
How to Use
Mirror Selection

Enter Edit Mode on your mesh object.

Open the Mirror Helper panel in the Sidebar (press

Select vertices or faces you want to mirror-select.

Choose the mirror axis (X, Y, or Z).

Adjust the Tolerance slider to control how closely the mirrored vertex/face must match the position.

Click Select Mirrored to select the mirrored elements on the opposite side of the axis.
Select All Mirrored

In Edit Mode, click Select All Mirrored to automatically select all vertices that have mirrored counterparts on the chosen axis.

Useful for quickly selecting symmetrical parts of complex meshes.
Toggle Axis Overlay

Click Toggle Axis Overlay to show or hide the axis lines in the 3D Viewport, helping you visualize the mirror plane.
Settings

Mirror Axis: Choose which axis (X, Y, or Z) to mirror across.

Tolerance: Controls the maximum distance to consider two vertices or faces mirrored. Increase if your mesh is not perfectly symmetrical.
Compatibility
Tested and compatible with Blender versions 2.80 through 4.4.3.
Troubleshooting

Addon panel missing? Make sure you are in Edit Mode on a mesh object. The panel only appears in the 3D View Sidebar (
N) under the "Mirror Helper" tab. -
Selection not working? Check your tolerance setting; increase it slightly if Blender cannot find mirrored vertices or faces.

Errors when activating? Ensure you are running Blender 2.80 or higher.
