OEBS Node Group Manager 2.0
Take control of every node group in your Blender file.
Find, inspect, organize, clean, and reuse Geometry, Shader, and Compositor node groups from one focused system.
The problem
Blender gives you a list. This gives you a workflow.
Large files quickly fill with vague names, forgotten copies, orphaned groups, and deeply nested dependencies. Node Group Manager shows what each group contains, where it is used, and what you can safely do next.
One system, three editors
A manager for every node workflow
Press N in the Geometry, Shader, or Compositor editor and the matching manager opens automatically. In the 3D Viewport, all three managers share one Nodes Manager tab.
The sidebar panels
The tools stay where the work happens
The browser, active-group controls, selection tools, diagnostics, cleanup, and exchange utilities sit together in the N-panel. You can move from discovery to action without hunting through Blender's data-block menus.
Beyond the browser
Audit, consolidate, and reuse
Node Group Manager is not only a better list. It adds file-wide tools for the maintenance work that normally turns into manual detective work.
Cleanup
Duplicate Finder
Compares graph topology, finds equivalent copies even when names differ, remaps their users to one primary group, then removes the duplicates.
Audit
File Health
Scores the file from 0-100 across duplicates, orphans, broken references, unused sockets, and stray objects, with direct fixes for each issue.
Reuse
Library Browser
Indexes folders of .blend files, searches their node groups, and imports a selected group without opening the source file.
A complete workflow
From finding a group to shipping a clean file
1. FindSearch all trees or narrow the current manager by text, regex, state, version, selection, or usage.
2. InspectRead user counts, nesting, complexity, versions, dependencies, validation results, and active-group details.
3. ActOpen, rename, replace, export, assign, select users, merge duplicates, or remove groups with previews and confirmations.
4. DeliverRun File Health, clear the remaining issues, and hand off a smaller, clearer, production-ready .blend.
Built for real production files
Useful whether you build, maintain, or deliver node systems
Spend less time managing node groups and more time using them.
One add-on, three managers, and a practical set of tools for keeping Blender files understandable from the first blockout to final delivery.
