  Thank you very much. It also changed my workflow. It is stressful to have to go all the time to the operating system explorer to open a file that we only need for a moment. It is much more practical to open it from Blender without having to close the one I am working on.

  I can confirm that it works in MacOS Ventura 13.5 but there is a Bug that crashes Blender if you open a existing file without closing the existing instance. If you click a existing file and don't quickly click the open existing button then Blender 4.4.0 will crash. If you click the open existing button within 3 seconds the it works, but after 3 seconds Blender will crashes if you wait for more than 3 seconds to click the open existing button in Blenders open dialog.
