Paperforge — 50 Seamless 4K Paper & Canvas Materials
Were these materials made with AI?
No generative AI is used to create the material surfaces themselves — every paper and canvas sheet in Paperforge is generated entirely from procedural code, not photographed, not scanned, and not produced by an image-generation model. AI is used as a coding assistant while writing that procedural pipeline and the descriptive texts in english, the same way any other development tool would be.
Can I use Paperforge in commercial projects?
Yes. The license is royalty-free: unlimited personal and commercial use, no attribution required. The only restriction is that you can't resell or redistribute the texture files themselves as a competing texture or material pack.
How do you verify the materials actually tile seamlessly?
Each sheet is measured by comparing the pixel jump across the wrap edge against the typical jump between neighbouring interior pixels. A material only ships labelled SEAMLESS when that difference is under one 8-bit brightness level — invisible at any tiling density. Six single-sheet finishes (the metallic and pearl materials) are intentionally not seamless and are labelled as such; they're meant to be used as one full sheet, not tiled.
What software can I use these materials in?
Every material ships with 4K albedo, normal, roughness and height maps as JPGs, plus a ready-to-render .blend file with the material already wired up (albedo to Base Color, roughness to Roughness, normal through a Normal Map node, height to displacement). The maps drop straight into Blender, Unreal, Unity, Substance, Marmoset, Cinema 4D, Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Octane and Redshift.
What's included in the full library?
The complete Paperforge library — 50 materials in total, 44 of them tiling seamlessly and 6 single-sheet metallic/pearl finishes. Every material includes the full 4K PBR map set (albedo, normal, roughness, height) at 4096×4096 plus its own wired Blender file.
