Physical Atmosphere²
1. I own PSA. Do I get a discount?
Yes! Existing PSA owners get a permanent upgrade discount. See the pricing section on this page for the current upgrade offer, or write to [email protected] if something doesn't work.
2. What are the system requirements?
Physical Atmosphere² runs on any hardware that runs Blender, on Windows, macOS and Linux. Cloud rendering is the heaviest part: a dedicated GPU is recommended for smooth work, and performance scales with quality settings.
3. How is this different from Physical Starlight & Atmosphere (PSA)?
PA² is the next generation, rebuilt from the ground up: spectral atmosphere, multiple scattering, round planet, atmospheric refraction, eclipses, OPAC pollution data and more. See the full comparison table on this page.
4. Can I use it for commercial work?
Yes. Everything you render with the addon is 100% yours: personal or commercial, forever, no royalties, no attribution needed.
The addon's Python code is open source (GPL). The shaders, textures and assets are covered by our own license and can't be extracted or reused outside the addon. If you'd like to license them for your own project, we're friendly. Write to [email protected].
5. Which Blender versions are supported?
Blender 5.2 and newer. We keep the addon compatible with new Blender releases.
