Urban Utility & Street Scans Vol. 1
Overview
This collection is a curated set of 12 photogrammetry scans designed specifically for concept artists, matte painters, and environment illustrators. These assets provide the grit, realistic weathering, and complex silhouettes necessary to ground a digital city in reality.
Workflow & Use Case
Primary Purpose: These assets are intended for set dressing and kitbashing within concept pieces, architectural visualizations, and cinematic renders.
Optimal Placement: Best utilized for mid-ground to background placement to add "lived-in" noise and realistic clutter to urban scenes.
Visual Fidelity: Because these are raw photogrammetry-based assets, they capture authentic textures (rust, grime, graffiti, and physical wear) that are difficult to achieve with procedural materials.
Technical Specifications & UVs
UV Mapping: Please note that these assets utilize overlapping UVs and/or atlas layouts. This approach was chosen to maintain maximum texture detail across the scanned surfaces, prioritizing visual quality for high-resolution renders over real-time engine optimization.
Geometry: High-detail scans that preserve the organic dents and imperfections of real-world objects.
Scale: Models are provided at 1:1 Real-World Scale for easy integration into existing scenes.
Naming Convention: All files are logically named for quick identification within your asset browser.
How to Use
Import: Drop the assets into your 3D software (Blender, Cinema 4D, Maya, etc.).
Scatter: Use these to break up repetitive sidewalks, fill alleyways, or add detail to flat building facades (using the "Fire Exit" or utility boxes).
Render: These are PBR-ready and respond naturally to realistic lighting setups and HDRI environments.
