This product will help you create scratch imperfection textures. You will find 2 .blend files one of them that contains the scratch texture generating setup, and another that contains material presets as node groups.

The scratch texture generator:

This blender file contains the geometry-nodes powered setup that allows you to easily generate seamless scratch textures.

This is what the file looks like:

This setup allows you to create the following maps of the scratches:

1. Random value per scratch
2. Rotation value of scratch - used for proper anisotropic rotation values (more on this later)
3. Normal Map
4. Mask of the scratches - for this you could also use the first "random per scratch" mask if you are limited by memory.

In order to render out all of these maps you can render the animation, and the material will automatically switch between the texture types.

You can see some example textures generated with this setup in the provided pictures.

Presets:

Also included in this product is a Scratch shader node group. This allows you to easily add pre-made scratches to your materials. This node group allows you to switch between the pre made scratch textures, layer two different textures, and adds iridescence to the scratches.

Please note that the iridescence feature works the best on metal surfaces.

Here are the presets included:

Here you can see the custom node group for creating the scratches. As of now there are 3 presets for the small scratches, and 4 presets for the Large scratches. Apart from using the presets you can also plug in your custom scratch maps into this node group, and still utilize all the features on your custom textures that the node group offers. (please remember to set your Normal and Anisotropic rotation maps to non color data)
