Why is the Bake button unavailable?
Make sure a mesh object is selected and that you are in Object Mode. If a bake is already running, wait for it to finish or cancel it before starting another one.
Why does it say that a source image is missing?
Every enabled texture slot needs a source image. Select a texture for each enabled slot, or disable any slots you do not need.
What should I do if I get a UV overlap error?
Click Select UV Overlaps. The problematic faces will be selected so you can inspect them in the UV Editor. Fix any overlapping or folded UV faces manually. The button only selects the problem areas; it does not repair them automatically.
