  I've been using this addon for about two weeks, and it's exactly what I've been looking for for years. It makes it incredibly easy to achieve workflows that I thought would require complex setups in Blender. I absolutely love it.

  What makes this addon truly stand out is how it automatically saves object states, including transforms, visibility, and other modifications, as layouts, without forcing users to manually manage custom properties. When I used SketchUp, I relied heavily on a similar feature, so finding something comparable in Blender has been fantastic. If I were to compare it to a 2D application, it feels like a 3D version of Layer Comps in Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint EX.

  After transitioning to Blender, I spent a long time searching for and testing various addons to manage scene variations and layouts. I never found anything this simple, intuitive, and automated. To be precise, I did find one other promising option, but its development had stalled, so I eventually gave up on it.

  Another thing I highly appreciate is the user experience. Whenever objects change, the addon clearly highlights what has been modified, and the UI visually prompts you to save the layout. These small touches make the workflow feel incredibly user-friendly and polished.

  Of course, there are some limitations. If you need batch rendering, different world settings per layout, or per-layout camera resolutions, those features aren't native to the addon (at least as far as I know). In those cases, you'll need to create your own workflow or pair it with the companion addon, Shot Manager. From what I've seen, Shot Manager also handles material variations and other advanced controls.

  For my own work, I mainly need batch rendering, world settings, and camera-specific resolutions, and I've been able to manage those with a few custom solutions. Since I work with still images far more than animation, this addon fits my workflow perfectly. So far, it's been reliable and genuinely enjoyable to use.

  I own several other shot management addons, and while many are excellent, this one has quickly become my favorite. That said, it's probably more accurate to describe it as a layout management tool rather than a traditional shot manager.

  Finally, I have to mention the community. Everyone, including the developer and fellow users, has been incredibly kind and welcoming. The support has been thoughtful and responsive, which made me feel truly valued. Thank you so much for creating such a wonderful tool.

  Thanks for the positive review! Integration with Shot Manager will be resolved in the next update coming soon, it allows layouts to be associated with shots, so Shots control render and output settings, cameras, resolutions, file formats, outputs and render layers (basically anything ) etc while Layouts more easily handle objects and collections, transforms and visibility toggles.

  This is such a handy addon. The uses cases for it continue to expand the more I use it. It is indeed simple to use (as the name implies). This addon has made some fairly complex projects much easier to keep organized. Add this one to your Blender collection for sure!
