  As simple and quick as it gets! I haven't tried the three or four lipsync addons out there, most of which are using the Rhubarb library (will do at some point) but I've got an idea for this one that might prove great solution for quick and dirty lip sync:

  I'm looking for an audio tool that can extract phonemes from an audio track and then place them on separate tracks in a DAW (extracting all the consonants and vowels, eg. Oh, Ay, Ee, ... T, S, K, P). Then you could just feed those (same length) tracks into Shape Keys using this tool and ... bam!

  Still gotta find that particular sound extraction tool though. ;) The other method would be to manually chop up a monologue sound by hand ... but the labor of doing that might defeat the benefits, so gotta find that auto tool somewhere ;-)

  Any way, the uses for this one trick pony are vast! Especially if connecting physics or modifiers to your mesh, you'll come up with cool results instantly.
