Why are some materials pink or missing texture detail?
Blender has probably lost the path to the loose texture maps. Extract the texture ZIP, then use File > External Data > Find Missing Files and point Blender to the extracted texture folder.
How do I use these materials in my own Blender scene?
Open your project, go to File > Append, choose Shaders.blend, open the Material folder, and append the materials you want. Then assign them to your own objects in the Material Properties panel.
Why does a material look different on my object than it does in the preview file?
Material appearance can change with UV scale, object scale, normals, bevels, and lighting. Test the material on a simple object first, then adjust UVs or mapping for your final asset.
Do I need to use Cycles?
