Super Simple Materials is a master material library for Blender created to speed up the shading workflow. 

Install the addon and quickly access all the master materials through the side bar. 

Why "Super Simple"?

The master materials are created to be easy to understand which means they are easy to adjust and expand. The idea is that any time you want to create a metallic material, you already have a strong base which you can remix super quickly to get the final look. If the materials had a million nodes they would not be that easy to adjust. Also, them being simple gives you so much more control which for me is a must.

I thought: "I start every metallic material the same way, I could automate that."

And so I dug through my recent projects and determined 20 combinations of nodes I use time and time again in my work. And from those I created the master materials that cut the time I need to setup materials by a significant amount. Before putting this into the market I tested it on actual projects to see if it actually helps me. Yes it does, significantly. I would say I save around 10-15 hours a month by starting with master materials instead of the basic principled BSDF
