Terrain Library
Windows — Recommended: 7-Zip (Free)
- Install 7-Zip — Download from the official site and install.
-
Put parts together — Ensure
Terrain_Library_Full.zip,
Terrain_Library_Full.z01, and
Terrain_Library_Full.z02are in the same folder (don’t rename them). -
Extract via 7-Zip — Right-click
Terrain_Library_Full.zip→ 7-Zip → Extract Here (or Extract to "Terrain_Library_Full\"). -
Let 7-Zip combine parts — It will automatically read
.z01(and any.z02,.z03, etc.).
If extraction fails, verify all parts exist and are fully downloaded.
Mac
- Put parts together — Place all three files in the same folder.
- Use The Unarchiver — Install (free), open it, and set it to handle ZIP files.
-
Extract — Double-click
Terrain_Library_Full.zip; it should automatically combine all parts and extract.
Note: I currently don’t have a Mac to verify these exact steps. If anything doesn’t work as expected, please search online for the latest Mac instructions on extracting multi-part ZIP archives.
Quick Troubleshooting
- Start from

Terrain_Library_Full.zip, not.z01. - “Unexpected end of archive” → A part is missing or incomplete; re-download.
- Don’t rename parts; filenames must match exactly across all pieces.
- If password-protected, confirm the exact password (watch for extra spaces).
