NS Infinite Landscape Package

Nick Sayce Designs in Modeling

***For the demo videos, full imagery and complete details of each product in this package, please refer to the individual product pages, the links are below***

In this package, you'll receive The Infinite Tree Builder, which includes 186 textured trees, 178 Sapling presets and The Infinite Bark Builder and you'll also receive The Infinite Rock Builder, ready to create landscapes without the need of any RGB textures (apart from the leaves!)

The ITB & IWB info is here - https://blendermarket.com/products/the-infinite-tree-builder

The IRB info is here - https://blendermarket.com/products/the-infinite-rock-builder

With these three Builders combined, making landscape images is far quicker and easier and far less memory hogging than ever before with a 20% saving over buying them individually. Please refer to the links above for the full details and demos of each Builder.

In the above image, bar the leaves and grass, everything is procedural with material displacement. The wooden planks and tree bark are using the IWB and for this image I cloned roughly 3 planks to create the cabin. Because of the mapping, each clone will look different depending on where it is in the scene. This reduces memory costs greatly and means you don't need to mess about with UV's to remove repetition of one RGB plank texture. The Rocks are the IRB, also included in the package, the roof and chimney are the ISB and the trees are from the ITB.

IRB UPDATE TO v7.1 28.07.25

A quick update for The Infinite Rock Builder as the latest version of Blender has some great improvements to node groups in the shader editor!

With Blender 4.5, it's now possible to collapse areas of the group to clean up the shader editor and reduce the amount of movement required with the mouse. The  group defaults with all the panels closed, you just need to click one of the categories and it'll collapse all of the controls.

I moved everything around a little, but all of the functions remain the same, it's just an update for the main control group. Version 7.1 is in the downloads, though it will only function in Blender 4.5. I've left version 7.0 in the downloads in case you're not ready to upgrade.

Enjoy!

UPDATE TO TREE CATALOGUE - ANOTHER 25! 13.08.25

Having finished another 25 trees, the ITB library has now grown to 150 trees! Again, some of them required a bit of simple building, but with the tips video on my Youtube, youtube.com/nicksayce, you'll be able to create variations of your own. Here's a few shots of the new trees;

A couple of Horsechestnuts.

The left is a Kentucky Coffee and the right is a Kentucky Yellowwood.

And these are two Saint Helena Gumwoods.

I've still got more trees to make, though I'm not sure there's enough left in the world to get to 200! I'll do my best though!

IRB UPDATE TO v7.0 23.06.25

Even though the last update was less than a month ago, I found more that I wanted to put into the IRB so I've gone ahead and done another significant update. I'll detail the additions below;

  • I've added 5 more formations, taking the total to 25.
  • Excitingly and significantly, I've added all of the mix nodes for each formation next to each of the corresponding formations within the main control group, pictured here;

When I say significant update, this is mostly why as the ability to change the blend mode for each formation using it's mixer makes for even more formations than were possible before. Here is an example of mixing two formations;

The left image is the standard mix, by simply sliding formation to 0.7. On the right is a 100% of 7 mix, then changing the mix mode to Subtract within the main control group. I'm really excited about this new functionality as it makes hugely varying changes to all of the formations that simply wouldn't be possible without either the ability to change the mix mode or to combine the formations manually. Now, it's very simple to experiment with each mix mode and see the dramatic changes they make.

I've also added a way to easily check the height of the Cliff Top Flatten Controls. Now, there is a pip which you can CTRL+CLICK to easily see where the level is when using the height control. I've found sliding to the right if the black isn't visible usually brings it into view.

Once you're done checking the height, just CTRL+CLICK the 'Reconnect Here' green pip.

And here's an example of some mixing I prepared earlier!

That's the lot. I figured with the significant changes, it was worthy of jumping the Rock Builder straight to version 7.0.

Have fun!

ITB UPDATE TO TREE CATALOGUE 21.07.25

One thing the catalogue has been missing is palm trees, mainly because they can't really be created using only Sapling. The large Palm leaves are something that wouldn't look good as a texture on a flat plane so I got to work figuring out a way to make them. And along the way I made a few more fun trees too!

The new trees are;

African Fan Palm, Alexander Palm, Bottle Palm, Canary Island Date Palm, Chilean Palm, Chusan Palm, European Fan palm, Great Basin Bristelcone Pine, Jelly Palm, Mexican Fan Palm, Monkey Puzzle, Queen Palm and Red Latan Palm.

With 13 new additional trees, the ITB catalogue is now up to 105 trees, which I'm very happy about!

Here's a couple of pics using the new trees;

Only the Monkey Puzzle tree comes with an associated Sapling preset as the others were either made manually or not easily possible to make in Sapling. The Queen Palm has been left with the trunk as a curve, which makes it far quicker and easier to change the shape, as these types of trunk can bend wildly!

As the catalogue is now up to 105 trees, I've decided to separate them in the downloads into individual ZIP files for each tree category. So now there's a Decidious, Pine, Palm, and Unusual ZIP files, the unusual trees being things like The Dragon Blood or Boabab. It also means you don't need to download everything if you only need Pines etc.

ITB UPDATE TO TREE CATALOGUE 14.07.25

It's been sometime since I last updated the trees of the ITB and having delved deep for the last couple of weeks, I've created 22 brand new trees and have significantly changed some of the 70 original meshes, mostly ones I felt could be improved. I've also added to the Sapling preset library taking it up to 92!

This image shows the 22 new trees mixed in with the 11 meshes I've updated and improved, which takes the total catalogue to 92 trees! I also removed a few trees as I just couldn't get them right and wasn't happy with the original meshes.

Enjoy!
