A tortoise that behaves like a tortoise
The carapace is not a soft skin: carapace and plastron are weighted 100% to a single trunk bone, so the shell stays perfectly rigid while limbs, neck and head deform. Limb bones never influence the shell.
Animations (24 fps)
- Walk — 48 fr, 4-phase gait, in place, all four feet planted
- WalkFwd — 48 fr, the same walk with root motion, 0.08 m per cycle
- Run — 24 fr, faster gait with larger stride and lift
- Idle — 96 fr, breathing and head motion
- Eat — 72 fr, head-down pecking loop
No foot sliding: during stance the feet stay locked in world space.
Path tool
Draw a path with the left mouse button on the floor, press Follow path and the tortoise walks it, turning with the tangent. Frame range and duration are computed from the path length and the gait speed, so the feet stay planted on the drawn line. The same panel exports FBX with the path motion baked into the armature.
