THIS ADD-ON RUNS ON BLENDER 5+ AND HAS NOT BEEN TESTED IN EARLIER VERSIONS
TunnelBeat generates a BPM-synced infinite tunnel animation in seconds. Enter your BPM, hit OK, and Blender builds the tunnel, places A camera, and sets up a driver-based rotation that locks the animation cycle to your tempo — no keyframing, no math.
How it works
The rotation speed is derived directly from your BPM, so the tunnel segments scroll at exactly the rate your beat implies. The result is a near-seamless loop that holds up at any length. From there, the artist can edit lighting, camera position, and materials.
Press hotkey Shift + T to initiate the add-on.
Controls
- BPM — enter any tempo and the animation syncs to it
- Speed — slow, medium, or fast scroll relative to the beat
- Gridline Thickness — thin, normal, or thick wireframe lines
- Gridline Density — sparse, normal, or dense segment count
- Mode — Grid for a clean wireframe look, Mesh for a subdivided surface
- Loop Length — multiply the base period for longer renders
- Clear Scene — optionally wipe the scene before generating
Good for
Music visualizers, VJ loops, motion graphics backgrounds, and anything that needs a render-ready tunnel without building it from scratch.
Notes
Loop seams are near-seamless but not mathematically perfect — at 60fps the difference is sub-frame and not visible in motion.
The modifier works best in a new, clean scene.
Blender 5.0+. Single operator, Press Shift+T in the 3D viewport.
This is the first add-on I've shipped. I hope to add more features in the future.
