  I am just shocked at the negative views. but I feel they come more from the frustration of not being able to access the addon or make it work.
  instead of the quality of this product when it works .

  Though usually the python env of blender should be fine but dependencies with AI apps is problematic situation
  Most of the blender addons would us python libraries that are ok to run like numpy ,scipy , numba etc.
  but the moment you get into pytorch domain,
  .What version of CUDA \ pip dependencies these can break on different systems and hardware combos
  sometimes a driver update also breaks it . Running AI apps whether diffusion or LLM is problematic it comes with a dependency hell..so better be prepared for it.

  As far as the cloud part goes.. there are no free lunches most likely the program uses Huggingface to use the depthanything v2 or v3 models , thousands of people access hugging face so most likely you are bound to get a timeout.
  However for people who know how to or are lucky that their setups worked..this is a really neatly laid out addon .
  I used depth on video - worked fine . there is an inital load time for the model and then upon your GPU how fast can it process the depth.
  The text to image model also loaded without any fuss ! it just worked out well. i wish i could attach screenshots here but i guess i cant .

  Installation - i just dropped the addon in blender 4.5 , then went to the Npanel - install dependencies.
  Done.

  In the favor of people who couldn't get it to work . i feel the developer can put a big disclaimer to beware of the dependencies hell and buy it at their own risk .
  Another solution that i could think of is .. if users have a comfycloud subscription - they should be able to access the depth models from their and use the API from the addon . not sure if that would work but feels like it doable.
  All in all the gambit is whether the addon will work on your system or not has a lot more to do with how pytorch works on your system .
  And i am only speaking from the NVIDIA cards standpoint. I am not sure whether the add-on setup factors in AMD cards at all. If you are on an AMD card, your only chance is likely the Cloud option, as local PyTorch dependencies usually default to CUDA (NVIDIA).If you are getting timeouts on the cloud, try logging into your Hugging Face account and generating an API token. Adding this to the add-on settings (if supported) can sometimes give you better priority or higher rate limits. Overall, this is a powerful tool, but it requires a bit of technical patience to get past the initial setup

  Works great, but whould like to know more about the how cloud works, wil it be payed at some point? what if this addon stops bein suported.

  for now it looks realy to good to be treu, i mean, cloud is expansif, for example microsoft and ai aps charge money for cloud procesing, i know there exeptions, but whould help a great deal if i can find out how and what. i am like saying, its so good, i am afraid to loose it, you know what i mean?

  Hi GoRolyGo,

  The cloud feature uses free online GPU services online right now, so you won’t be charged. If any server goes down I’ll update the addon to connect to the newest servers as soon as possible.

  Just gave it 4 stars because it doesn`t work with mov videos, also buttons doesn´t have hover descriptions (yellow boxes that appear and describe what the button does) they are easy to implement. But great job so far.

  Addon not working at all. Tried all versions from 4.0 to 4.5 - Clean Install. How this kind of scam is even allowed on marketplace? Other addons from this author have the same quality?

  the add on does not work, the description says that there is local rendering option if you have nvidia card but is nowhere to be seen, the cloud service is very slow or not working at all,this is sad because i had some expectations with the addon
