Yamato Class - WW2 Japanese Battleship

Jeronimo Ledesma Patiño in Weapons & Armor

Yamato class was composed of super battleships built by the Imperial Japanese Navy during WWII. Construction began in 1937, with the ship entering service in 1941 and being sunk during the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. Designed in secrecy after Japan's withdrawal from the League of Nations, Yamato was engineered to counter multiple opponents despite industrial limitations. The 1945 variant featured improved AA defenses and 39 large-caliber guns.

The model is based on the final 1945 version, created in Blender and textured with Substance Painter. It is highly detailed, ideal for close renders and suitable for video game purposes.
