Octane AOV Picker (Blender Addon)

This addon works only with Blender Octane (OctaneRender for Blender). It does not work with standard Blender Cycles or Eevee.

Octane’s Render AOV system is extremely powerful, providing a wide range of passes for compositing and advanced rendering workflows. However, as the number of available AOV passes continues to grow, selecting the desired pass becomes increasingly cumbersome. Users often need to scroll through a long, flat list just to find the AOV they need, which slows down workflow and interrupts productivity.

The same issue also appears in the Composite Node Tree, where users must deal with similarly long AOV lists when connecting passes for compositing. Navigating these lists repeatedly can quickly become frustrating in production workflows.

Octane AOV Picker solves this problem by reorganizing AOV lists into clear, logical categories and providing a convenient two-level menu selector. Instead of navigating a single long list, users first choose a category and then quickly select the desired AOV pass.

This dramatically reduces selection time and makes working with AOVs faster, cleaner, and far more user-friendly across both rendering and compositing workflows.
