  I purchased this waaay back and fully appreciated the updates as they came in ... when the newest version was announced, I didn't hesitate for a second to purchase it again. As a Blender user, environment artist and person that just enjoys dabbling in a little bit of everything Blender continues to offer, this is a great purchase for me and a great way to support a developer that makes my day just a bit easier.
  If you're always looking for good materials PBR and Procedural for your projects ... this is something you need to buy, like yesterday!

  Mighty product! Excellent value for the money! In the past two years, I have spent about three months of my time searching the web for free textures from many sources and only paid for one other pack which I thought was worth my hard-earned dollars. However, this pack is almost as large as the archive of 7000+ textures I have been so far able to assemble. This gives me about 12000+ textures to play with which seems enough for now. The only limitation of this pack is that the textures appear to be limited in size to 2k so it may not be useful for all use cases. My interest is in game development so 2k is generally fine and if I really need 4k I can upscale them using local AI. The only improvements I can suggest would be 1. to add a prefix to the files so as to identify their origin. 2. Better still provide a basic file renaming tool which allows the user to specify their own custom renaming prefix to facilitate asset management involving multiple source archives i.e. T_UBMP_filename_maptype.jpg for use in Unreal Engine. 3. I prefer to work with the PNG lossless file format rather than JPG because I often need to tweak the base color file to improve the appearance of the texture in game engines which do not have an advanced material instance feature, but I can set up a batch processor to convert them all at once. Maybe you could provide the option for the user to download JPG|PNG|TIFF depending on their requirements and download connection speed. 4. You could also provide 1k versions as game developers do not always need a 2k texture if a 1k will suffice and optimization requires a smaller file. It takes time to change the resolution to 1k so game developers would find this quite useful.

  Astonishing quantity and quality for the price! Very recommended!
  Small suggestion for the install:
  0. I have personally downloaded the 5000 textures full file. All textures in one
  1. make a folder somewhere for the assets.
  2. move the downloaded .blend file WITH the "blender_assets.cats.txt" file in that folder
  3. in blender go to Edit-Preferences-Asset Libraries
  4. click on the plus "+" sign on the right and select "Add Local Asset Library"
  5. navigate to the folder with the files and select it
  done!
  Now the textures are all well catalogued in the Blender Asset Browser

  Other useful tip, if you have got the 500 procedural materials as well:
  1. copy the .blend file in the same folder as the 5000 materials .blend file.
  2. open the "blender_assets.cats.txt" that was in the 500 materials file and copy the strange looking paragraph. You can also copy everything from the txt file, it works as well.
  3. open the "blender_assets.cats.txt" that was copied previously with the 5000 materials file. It must be the one in the folder that you have indicated for the Asset Browser.
  4. at the end of the document, paste the text from the 500 materials text file, and save.
  done!
  Now you have both files indexed and well catalogued

  A bit of trouble with the regular download. The Gmail worked perfectly and now I can use this great product. Very easy to use, even for me, a total beginner.

  This material library is extremely comprehensive and has been a huge help in my work! For some reason, I couldn’t download the files from the link provided by the author at first. The author spent a whole day re‑uploading them on the web for me, and the service was very thoughtful!
  If you download from the web, just put 5000+ PBR Asset Browser.part1, part2, part3 in the same folder and extract them together. You will get a Blender file, which you can then place into your designated asset library. It’s very convenient.
