Animation Snapper Pro
Animation Snapper Pro v2.0 Manual
Animation Snapper Pro is a high-performance snapping and baking tool for Blender. It is designed to solve the "constraint headache" by allowing you to snap objects and bones to one another and instantly bake that motion into keyframes, bypassing the need for complex Child Of or Copy Transform constraints.
INSTALLATION
Open Blender.
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
- Click "Install" and select the AnimationSnapperPro_v2_0_Blender5_0.zip
- The tool is located in the 3D Viewport Sidebar (N-Panel) under the tab "AnimSnapPro".
- Workflow 1: Snapped2Element (Vertex/Edge/Face Snapping)
Use this for pinning objects (like a shoe or a hand) to a deforming mesh (like a magic carpet or a character's chest).
Pose Relative to Element: Place your "Snapped" object (e.g., a foot bone) exactly where you want it on the mesh at your starting frame.
Set Snapped: Use the picker or "Set Snapped" button to define your follower.
Set Range: Define your Start and End frames in the Time Keyframe Snap section.
Select Mesh Element: Enter Edit Mode on your mesh and select exactly one Vertex, Edge, or Face.
Bake: Click Forwards or Backwards in the "Snapped2Element Bake" box. The tool will calculate the deformation and bake the movement into keyframes.
Workflow 2: Pivot2Pivot (Standard Snap)
Use this for simple "snap A to B" scenarios where centers should align exactly.
Set Source: Select the leader and click "Set Source."
Set Snapped: Select the follower and click "Set Snapped."
Set Range: Define the frames you want to cover.
Execute: Choose Snap Now (current frame), Batch (entire range), or Step (manual frame-by-frame) to bake the keys.
Workflow 3: Offset Snap
Use this to maintain a specific distance or "grip" between objects (like a hand holding a cup away from its center).
Set Source & Snapped: Define your two objects.
Create Offset Helper: On the frame where the "grip" begins, click Create Offset Helper.
Note: This automatically creates an empty, parents it to the Source, and sets the empty as the new Source for you.
Set Range: Define the duration of the "Snap"
Bake: Use Batch Forward/Backwards or Step Forward/Backwards. The follower will now perfectly maintain its relative offset from the leader.
Workflow 4: Plain Snap (No Animation)
Use this for quick scene layout or static alignment where you don't want any keyframes created.
Selection Order: Turn on Use Selection Order Mode.
Select: Select the Source first, then the Snapped object second.
Toggle Keys: Uncheck Keyframe on Snap.
Snap: Press Snap Now. The object jumps to the target without adding anything to your timeline.
Workflow 5: Switching Sources (The "Hand-off")
Use this for complex animations where an object changes owners (e.g., a ball being passed from one hand to another).
First Snap: Use any method (Pivot or Offset) to snap the object to its first owner.
Lock Position: Go to the frame just before the hand-off. Set a Location/Rotation keyframe. This "safeguards" the animation up to that point.
Change Source: On the hand-off frame, select the new owner and set it as the Source.
Second Snap: Snap the object to the new owner using any method. Since the addon bakes keyframes, the object will stay with Hand A until the keyframe you set, then follow Hand B from that point forward.
Pro-Tip: Making Mistakes
Because this addon bakes keyframes instead of using constraints, there is no "live" connection to break. If you don't like a result, simply delete the keyframes on your object and try the snap again. It’s a non-destructive way to handle destructive animation!

( 1 ) Select Source and Snapped
This section defines the "Leader" (Source) and the "Follower" (Snapped).
Source Slot: Displays the current leader.
Bone Icon: Opens a modal picker to click a bone directly in the 3D view.
Arrow Icon: Sets the currently selected object/bone as the Source.
Snapped Slot: Displays the item that will be moved. (Has the same Picker, Set, and Drag-and-drop features as the Source).
Use Selection Order Mode: If on, the addon ignores the boxes above. The first item you select is the Source; the active (last) item is the Snapped target.
Swap: Switches the Source and Snapped items.
Fill From Sel: Takes your current selection and fills the Source/Snapped boxes automatically.
( 2 ) Offset Helper
Create Offset Helper: The "Magic Button." It creates a parent-child empty rig at the Snapped item's location. The parent follows the Source, and the child becomes the new Source. Use this to maintain a specific distance or rotation during a snap.

( 3 ) Snap Range / Step / Current Frame
Use Playback Range: If checked, batch operations use the Scene's Start/End frames.
Start/End: Manual override for the frame range.
Batch Backward / Forward: Snaps and keys the target across the entire range in one click.
Step Backward / Forward: Snaps the current frame and moves the playhead one frame. Great for "walking" a snap through a tricky section.
Cancel Batch: Stops an ongoing batch process and performs a safe undo to prevent half-baked animations.
Snap Current Frame: Performs a one-time snap at the current playhead position.
Loc / Both / Rot: Filters which transform channels are snapped. (Note: Bones usually require "Both" for technical reasons).
Respect Locked Channels: If you have locked the "X Location" of your object, the snap will ignore that axis.
Keyframe on Snap: When enabled, any snap operation automatically inserts a keyframe.

Reference Helper Operators
Empty Display Type/Size: Sets the visual look of the Empties created by this tool (Cube, Arrow, Sphere, etc.).
Helper for Each: Creates a static reference empty at the location of every selected item.
Baked Helpers: Creates an empty for every selected item and "records" their movement into keyframes across the timeline.
Bake Helper for Element: (Edit Mode) Creates an empty that follows a specific Vertex, Edge, or Face of a mesh, even if that mesh is deforming with modifiers.
Helper for Element (No Bake): Creates an empty at the current position of a vertex/face without animating it.

Snapped2Element Bake (with Offset)
This is a "1-Click" complex workflow.
Pose your character/object relative to a mesh (e.g., a hand touching a wall).
Select the hand bone as Snapped.
Go into Edit Mode on the wall and select a Face.
Click Forwards or Backwards.
The tool will: Create a helper for that face, calculate the offset of the hand, and bake the hand to follow that face perfectly over time.
Snap Preview
Used for "testing" a snap before committing to keyframes.
Create Preview Constraint: Temporary creates an Offset Helper rig and a Copy Location/Rotation constraint. This lets you see how the snap will look as you scrub the timeline.
Delete All Preview Constraints: Cleans up all preview helpers and constraints in the scene.
Keyframe Influence Start/End: Automatically keys the "Influence" of the preview constraint to turn on or off at your Start/End frames. (Great for transitioning a character from "Free motion" to "Snapped motion").

AnimSnapPro-Switcher: Complete User Manual
AnimSnapPro-Switcher is a dynamic animation tool for Blender 5.0 designed to solve one of the most frustrating parts of 3D animation: Dynamic Parenting.
Whether a character is picking up a sword or putting down a coffee cup, switching "parents" usually causes objects to jump across the screen. This addon creates a seamless "hand-off" between objects, ensuring your items stay exactly where they are visually while their logic changes behind the scenes.
INSTALLATION
Open Blender.
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
- Click "Install" and select the AnimSnapPro_Switcher_v1_0_0.zip
- The tool is located in the 3D Viewport Sidebar (N-Panel) under the tab "AnimSnapPro".
🚀 The Core Workflow: How to Use It
The addon is designed to be used while you are animating.
Identify the Pair: Decide who is the Source (the object in control, like a hand) and who is Following (the object being moved, like a sword).
Set the Stage: Go to the frame where the interaction happens.
Perform the Switch: Click a switch button. The addon creates an invisible "Helper" object that acts as the bridge.
Keep Animating: If the character drops the sword later, go to that frame and switch to "World/Static."
Finish: Once the shot is done, "Bake" everything to turn it into standard keyframes.
🛠 Section 1: Selecting Your Items
This is where you tell the addon which objects are involved in the animation.
1. Source (The Item to Follow)
This is the "Parent." Whatever you pick here will control the movement of your object.
Pick Bone (Bone Icon): Click this to enter "Picker Mode." Your cursor changes; simply click any bone on any character in the 3D view to set it as the target.
Set from Selection (Square/Arrow Icon): If you already have the target object or bone selected, click this to "lock it in" to the addon.
The Status Label: Displays the name of the current Source. If it says "None," the "Switch to Source" button will not work.
2. Following (The Constrained Item)
This is the "Child" or the item that is actually moving. Usually, this is a prop (like a gun) or an IK bone (like a character's hand following a steering wheel).
Buttons: These function exactly like the Source buttons above but apply to the object you want to move.
⚡ Section 2: Making the Switch
These buttons are the "Action" buttons. Use these at the specific frame where an action occurs.
Helper Display Size: Adjusts how big the generated helper objects (cubes) appear in your scene. If your scene is very large or very small, use this so you can actually see the helpers.
Switch to World/Static: Use this to "pin" an object in place. It stops following everything and stays at its current world position. Perfect for putting objects down on tables or floor.
Switch to Source Item (Large Button): This is the magic button. It creates a connection so the "Following" item begins moving with the "Source" item instantly, without moving a single millimeter from its current position.
📋 Section 3: The Timeline Manager (Editing)
Every time you click a "Switch" button, an entry is added to this list. This is your command center for fixing mistakes. To edit the "Switches", first select them from the list.
Refresh List (Cycle Icon): If you’ve been deleting things manually and the list looks wrong, click this to "force-scan" the object and update the UI.
The UI List: Shows every switch you’ve made. F:10 means a switch happened on Frame 10. Clicking an entry selects it so you can edit it.
Delete (Minus Icon): Removes the selected switch. The addon will intelligently "heal" the timeline so the object continues to follow its previous target instead.
Delete All (Trash Icon): The emergency reset. This wipes every constraint and helper created by the addon for this object, returning it to a clean slate.
Re-time to: Type a frame number here (e.g., 50).
Retime (Keyframe Icon): Moves the selected switch to the frame you typed in. Because Blender 5.0 uses "ChannelBags," moving keyframes manually is hard. This button does the heavy lifting for you, moving all the influence keyframes and renaming the helpers so they match the new time.
Realign Helper After Retime: When checked, the addon ensures that when you move a switch to a new frame, the object doesn't "pop" due to the parent being in a different spot on that new frame.
Select Helper: Finds and selects the Empty(Helper) object that is controlling this specific switch. Use this if you need to manually offset the object (like sliding a hand further down a sword handle).
Realign Helper (Snap Icon): If you accidentally move a character's hand and the prop is now floating away, click this. It snaps the helper back to the current visual position of the object.
📍 Section 4: Organization & Cleanup
Tools to help you stay organized and prepare the file for rendering.
Create Markers from List: Automatically puts markers on your Blender timeline labeled "Fol_..." at every frame where a switch happens. Great for visual timing.
Delete All Addon Markers: Clears the markers created by the addon.
Bake to Keyframes (The Final Step): When your animation is 100% finished, click this. The addon will play through your animation, record the movement into standard Blender keyframes, and then delete all the "helpers" and constraints.
Why use this? It makes your file "clean”.
