AnimExport Pro

Skava in Rendering

How do I install AnimExport Pro?

Download the zip and do not unpack it. In Blender open Edit > Preferences > Add-ons, click the drop-down arrow in the top-right corner and choose Install from Disk, then pick the zip. Tick the checkbox next to AnimExport Pro. Press N in the 3D Viewport and open the AnimExport tab.

Which Blender versions are supported?

Blender 4.2 LTS and later. Since 1.0.1 the add-on reads animation curves both in the older action layout and in the slotted layout introduced in Blender 4.4, so it also works on Blender 5.

What does Extract Root Motion do?

It moves the travel of the chosen Root Bone onto the armature object, in a new action named _RootMotion, while the skeleton keeps animating in place. Horizontal (X/Y) and Vertical (Z) choose which axes are lifted out. Your original action is kept. Inject Root Motion does the reverse.

Does it work with Mixamo animations?

Yes. Mixamo Cleanup removes the mixamorig: prefix from bone names and rewrites the animation curve paths to match, so the animation keeps playing. Fix Scale and Remove Extra Root are optional steps of the same cleanup.

How do I export several clips at once?

In Clip Splitter add one entry per clip with its start and end frame, then press Batch Export All Clips. Each clip is copied into its own action, shifted to start at frame 0 with its interpolation, easing and handles kept, and written as a separate FBX named after the clip. Export Current Action writes only the active action. The FBX files contain the armature and its animation, not the mesh.

How does Validate Humanoid help?

It checks the armature against the 20 bones an engine humanoid rig requires (hips, three spine bones, neck, head, both arm chains and both leg chains) and lists what is missing or misnamed, before the engine refuses the import. It checks naming, not whether the rig deforms well.

Does it need an internet connection?

No. The add-on makes no network calls and is pure Python with no compiled binaries.

Can I use it commercially, and where is the documentation?

Yes. AnimExport Pro is licensed under GPL-3.0; the license covers the add-on code, and your animations are yours to use in commercial projects. Full documentation is on the Documentation & FAQ tab of this product page, and a README.md is inside the zip.
