I don't even want to do rigging without this addon anymore. What an absolute game changer!

Was required to use this addon for a project, but it was pretty quick to learn. Asked about something I couldn't figure out about bone rolls, and replied very helpfully, in less than 24 hours.

"Feedback on ARP 3.75 - Comparing with Faceit for Facial Rigging"

    Here's the English translation:

Dear Artell, your plugin (3.75) is extremely convenient to use. Compared to Rigify, I can rig the body in less than a minute (excluding weight painting), and there are many options in the rig that can be enabled or disabled as needed. Additionally, your plugin is rich in other features, such as shape key drivers, corrective bone drivers, and remapping. Secondly, the automatic facial rigging is also excellent - it feels similar to Faceit's point-based rigging, much faster than placing each bone individually with Rigify. However, when comparing the automatic facial rigging to Faceit's automatic rigging, I feel like something is missing, such as the nose bridge bones and forehead bones (compared to the Rigify bones automatically generated by Faceit). Every time I make the character raise their eyebrows, the entire forehead bone moves. In reality, I only want the eyebrow area to move, not the entire forehead. So I make the eyebrow weights smaller, but then the forehead mesh distorts. Compared to Faceit's default automatically generated bones, Faceit doesn't have this problem - I don't even need to touch the eyebrow weights, just use the automatic weights. Also, Faceit's eyelid weights seem easier to paint because it has an extra loop of bones around the eyelids, while ARP's eyelid bones are shaped like ">", which seem similar to the mch bones in Rigify's bone layers.

I'm really torn. In terms of automatic generation (lower bound), Faceit's facial rig is more stable. In terms of potential (upper bound), ARP's rig offers more options - eyebrow controls, lips, eyes, chin, all those bone options. Sometimes I think, if these two could be combined, that would be amazing. I wish I could take Faceit's "clothes" and put them on ARP.

My conclusion is that the body rigging is almost perfect now. If the facial rigging could merge with Faceit (equal or surpass Faceit), then the automatic rigging would be absolutely perfect.

Finally, dear Artell, keep up the great work. I hope your plugin continues to improve. Have a wonderful day.

Wangxiaokang, thanks a lot for the detailed feedback!
That is absolutely correct, the facial weights often need to be refined manually. The automatic weighting doesn't output perfect results. Some tools do exist though, to improve the situation with eyelids for example, please see the documentation:
      https://www.lucky3d.fr/auto-rig-pro/doc/auto_rig.html#bind-settings

This said, that would be definitely relevant to refine the automatic weights further to minimize the manual work. That will be examined in the future.

I have been use it for couple years and it totally simplify my workflow. I use full manual mode but it really help for fast action to show client a bit of end product.

It makes the rigging process quick and easy. The results work great for the basic stuff I'm doing. I like how everything is organized. Animating with the rig is a joy.

Very happy to hear it! A lot of efforts are put into the UI to keep it as clear and simple as possible -less is more- even though more and more features are added. Finding the good balance is never easy. Cheers

Never thought an addon would be able to do what this does… it’s a much needed and amazing experience builder, and I’m glad the creator is supportive! This is my first real addon review, and I chose autorig since it’s the best.
