Bicycle Generator
Installation
In Blender open Edit, Preferences, Get Extensions, then use Install from Disk and pick the bicycle_generator zip.
Usage
- Open the Bicycle tab in the 3D viewport sidebar (N). With no bike selected, follow the three steps: pick a type, pick a design and pick a condition (New, Used, Old or Rusty), then press Add to place the bike at the 3D cursor. You can also use Shift+A, Mesh, Bicycle.
- With a bike selected, the top of the panel shows its type, design and condition as pictures you can change at any time. Surprise Me makes a new random bike, Vary Design changes the proportions and parts, Colors repaints it and the dice button changes the small random details. The arrow next to the design name resets every change.
- The icon tabs hold every setting: Frame & Fork (layout, shape, tubes, suspension, fork, geometry), Wheels & Tires (rims, spokes, treads, sizes), Drivetrain & Motor (drive, gears, cranks, pedals, chain guard, motor and battery), Cockpit, Saddle & Brakes, Extras & Cargo (fenders, racks, baskets, lights, kickstand, child seat, cargo box and more), Paint & Materials (every color slot), Condition (wear, rust, dirt, mud, flat tires) and Output (detail, part visibility, Make Static, Delete).
- Pose & Ride under the tabs steers the bars, turns the cranks and wheels, leans the bike on its kickstand and sets suspension sag. Ride animates the wheels, cranks and chain on the timeline at the speed you set.
Materials are PBR texture sets on metric UVs, so the meshes export cleanly to game engines. Make Static turns the bike into plain meshes for export or hand editing.
